The nearest train and major bus station is Scarborough. Local buses run from there to Snainton every hour. The closest International Airport is Manchester, with trains running frequently to Scarborough and taking approximately 3 hours. Trains run hourly from Kings Cross to York and take about 2 hours. Driving Directions:

From North: From A1(M) take the A168 to Thirsk to join A170 to Scarborough, passing through Pickering. Snainton lies approximately 7 miles after Pickering. On entering the village take the first road on the right. The cottage is 50 yards on the right next to the Coachman Inn. Parking is to the rear, under the arch by the side of the pub, at the far end of the car park. (see map below) From North map

From south map From South: From A1(M) take the A64 for York. Continue on the A64 by-passing York and Malton and following signs for Scarborough. Pass through Rillington ( the only traffic light junction) and after 1 mile turn left onto the B1258 signed Knapton & Yedingham. After about 7 miles you approach Snainton. (see map below) The cottage is on the left just before joining the A170, next to the Coachman Inn. Parking is to the rear, under the arch by the side of the pub, at the far end of the car park.
